Join ADK at Heart Lake and the Adirondack Loj on July 16th for Backcountry Water Monitors Training! The citizen scientists who join the project will be trained to identify the species that threaten the health of our Adirondack lakes, ponds, and streams, and will be given the opportunity to adopt a pond or lake for an annual survey. The training consists of classroom education on invasive species and data management, as well as a field portion where participants will learn a backcountry survey protocol. Surveys will focus on the Lake Champlain Basin.
