Welcome to Glens Falls-Saratoga's Younger Member Group! Happy New Year! Many new and exciting things are planned for 2008, which will hopefully help our Chapter and the YMG continue to grow and succeed, which include: • "Trail-gating" (a post-hike bbq at the trailhead) • "Request an outing/event" form on our website • Adirondack inspired games on our website • "Chepontuc Opt-Out" program (save a tree and receive our newsletter via email) • Theme hikes (have any ideas?) • A consistent YMG section of the newsletter • A BIG Spring marketing campaign to help spread the word about our chapter and the YMG • More YMG outings leaders • Different types of chapter programs (not just slide-shows) • YMG social events (is there any interest in these?) Upcoming YMG Outings: Many exciting events are planned for the GF-S Chapter over the next few months, including the following YMG outings: • To be listed If you don't own your own pair of snowshoes, do not worry! Snowshoes can be rented from the ADK Member Services in Lake George. Help the YMG If you would like to help out with the YMG, whether it be as a vice-chair, outing leader, or just want to help spread the word, let me know!
